Family? What can I say about family? Well you only get one main one. You share each other’s heartaches, failures, successes and happy times; happy times being the main point. Family equals happy times no doubt about it. So what makes a family? A loving mother, a father that gives you a shoulder to cry on, sisters that tell you the ugly truth and makes you a better person in the long run and brothers a source of fun and strength. Maybe you might be lucky enough to make your own family and experience the son and daughter that seem to fill you with unlimited energy and the good wife/husband who is faithful to you and you only.
There is one lesson in life that we all learn eventually, we live to die. I say we learn it eventually because you don’t quiet grasp the aspect of dying when you’re in your minor years, it becomes more apparent during your twenties plus. But then again some may learn this lesson allot earlier then that. You must be strong to face it every day, you have a purpose, and it is to live, period. Jobs and the rest of that social stuff is just a good hobby to keep you active.
That being said one should treat their family in the best way they can. They should get on with each other after the disputes or arguments, because we are on a time line and no one knows how long it is. Ignoring your family over silly things is just silly, as I said before you only get one. Whether the silly thing is a serious or minor in our thinking, in the long run it is only minor. Get to know your family, they make you whole, every thing seems brighter when you are having fun with them or just in the there quiet presence. Absorb every second of it.
So forget the negative things that might of happened and start a fresh, if need be. Please don’t just sit on your anger, release it and learn how silly is it is to hate. What’s the point of hate any way, when you can be happy and love. You’re in charge of your own feelings and only you can harness them to your will. Sometimes-outside forces can tinker with them but only you have absolute control, don’t forget that.
My heart goes out to those that have lost any of their family members; I dislike to think of it. But you need to find the strength and courage to support yourself and more importantly your family. Be a pillar of hope for yourself and know that you will see your family again in the next life. I know in these times that religion is the last thing on people's minds and most are flying the nest, but remember prayer is your direct line to talk to god and your loved ones, so please pray for your family, whether it be talking to them through your mind or saying religious prayers, this is very helpful for you.
Next time you’re with your family, remember just how lucky you are, these are the main companions in your life. And if you happen to come across one that might of ceased communication for some reason, maybe its time to open the communication again and let the apologies and love flow.
And always, always take a minute to bask in their love and presence and live every second the best you can. Have a good one.
